THEY were in Portarlington last week.
They held up midday traffic and had people running after them with buckets and spades waiting in anticipation in an attempt to scoop up the much sought after manure for their roses.
This week, they were spotted trying to burst their way into the newly refurbished Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise.
The four elephants were on a saunter around Portlaoise, ,as part of publicity efforts by a visiting circus.
Busy plastic-bag-carrying shoppers were left agog when they emerged from the centre to see the fab four trying to make their way in to have a look at what bargains were on offer.
Centre manager Kevin Doyle was quick off the mark when he snapped the elephants on their shopping visit to Portlaoise.
