The late Elizabeth (Betty) Davis

Elizabeth (Betty) Davis (née Fitzpatrick), Old Pound, Ballybrittas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Saint Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit Mountmellick on Sunday 28 September 2025.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Johnny, her parents Mark and Margaret and her brother Joe.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons and daughters Martina, Brid, Tom, John, Sinèad, Ailish, Róisín and Rònàn, her beloved brother Eddie, her adored grandchildren Ed, Barry, Aimèe, Ella, Doireann, Pat, Aoife, Emily, John, Luis, Marcos, Sarah, Conor, Darragh, Juliette and Emorine, her great-grandson Pàidì, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law Eddie, John, Kay, Juan, Terry and Lorine, brother-in-law Thomas, sisters-in-law Kathleen, June and Marie, grandson-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home (eircode R32 T8KO) on Tuesday evening 30 September from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning 1 October at 11.20am arriving Saint John’s Church, Killenard (eircode R32 VW77) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the Old Cemetery in Emo Village.

House private on Wednesday morning, please.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Portarlington Meals on Wheels. Donation box at her residence and in the Church.

Betty’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Saint Martha’s and St Anne’s Units in Saint Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit for the exceptional care and Kindness to Betty. A special thanks to Portlaoise Hospital and the carers who attended Betty while she was at home.
