The late Fr. Patrick Mooney
Fr. Patrick Mooney, Anam Cara, Moneyquid, Killeigh and Mountmellick and formerly Connecticut U.S.A. died peacefully on Tuesday 18 March home.
Beloved son of the late Sean and Julia Mooney (Clonaslee) and survived by his brother Seamus (Rosenallis) and sister Ann (Florida U.S.A.)
Deeply regretted by his family cousins, nieces nephews, good friends and his parishioners who worshipped with him for 45 years.
Arriving to Saint Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick on Tuesday 25 March for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Clonaghadoo.

"Born the eight of 16 children in 1937, Patrick was ordained a priest in 1966 in the USA. He served his parishioners for 45 years in and around Bridgeport, Connecticut.
He retired and returned to Ireland in 2005 and settled at his house/farm that he built in Killeigh, Laois in 1979.
He has outlined his life’s work on his personal website at www.spiritualspring.org.
His multimedia programs, photography and his six published books on aspects of spirituality can also be found on his website.
Fr. Patrick was a keen gardener and he loved the humanities/spirituality and all God’s nature.”
