The late Jeremiah (Jerry) O'Connell
Jeremiah (Jerry) O'Connell, Alcantra, Kilminchy, Portlaoise and formerly of Boula, Knocknagoshel, Co. Kerry, (retired Garda Inspector) in his 93rd year passed away peacefully at Kilminchy Nursing Home, Portlaoise surrounded by his loving family on Saturday 18 January.
Jerry was predeceased by his beloved wife Chris and daughter Edel (Duignan), brothers Maurice and Denis, and sister Norah.
Much loved father of daughters Jacinta (Quinn), Anne (Cooney), Linda (Rigney), and sons Ronan, Niall, and Diarmuid.
Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, sons-in-law, partners, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Aonghus, Marcus, Méabh, Eva, Gemma, Carla, Mark, Eimear, Orla, Seán, Brian, Ailbhe, Hugh, Jerry, and Malachy, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Monday evening 20 January from 6pm until 7.30pm with Rosary at 7pm.
Removal on Tuesday 21 January to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
