The late Mary Hyland
Mary Hyland (née Wall), Garryhinch, Portarlington, Offaly and formerly of Wolf Tone Street, Mountmellick passed away peacefully in her 91st year surrounded by her loving family at Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington on Friday 26 September 2025.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Jack, son Billy, father Bill, Mother Julia, sister Sheila, niece Ann, brother-in-law Paschal and sister-in-law Vera.
Mary will be sadly missed by her loving son Eugene, daughter-in-law Gemma, her much loved grandchildren Cormac, Thomas, Stephanie and John, her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families, her many friends and great neighbours.
Reposing in Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (R32 X5XV) on Sunday evening 28 September from 5pm with Rosary at 7pm.
Removal on Monday morning 29 September at 9.20am arriving at Saint Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Mary's family would like to acknowledge and thank the carers for the great care and kindness shown to Mary while she was at home. Also, thanks to all the staff in the Regional Hospital, Tullamore and a special word of thanks to the staff in Oakdale Nursing Home who were so good and kind to Mary in her final weeks.
