Goals prove the difference as Killanure NS crowned Roinn 6 champions

Killanure National School were crowned Division 6 Hurling champions as they crashed in three goals in each half to overcome a gusty Knock NS side.

Lochlan Keenan was the star of the show as he scored 3-3 as The Knock defence had no answers to him.

Ciaran Dollard opened up the scoring with a brilliantly taken goal as Killanure had the early lead.

Knock NS responded through Cian Tully who was outstanding for his side. He would hit 1-2 without reply as Knock NS raced into the lead.

Keenan then nailed two frees for his side as the game was now level. But Tully responded again scoring three in a row and he was keeping his side in the final.

The excellent Keenan grabbed a second goal for his team to level up matters as the score was 1-5 to 2-2.

Tully and Keenan then traded points before Tully hit another two points. Just before half time Ciaran Dollard scored his second of the day to leave his side ahead at the break 3-3 to 1-8.

The victors hit two early goals through Emily Chambers and Keenan to extend their lead. Corey Lalor followed it up with a huge point from his own half.

Tully and Lalor would trade points once more as Killanure led by eight points. Tully would get the next two points, but that was as good as it got as they didn't score again in the final.

Keenan grabbed his hat-trick goal while Lalor hit two more points as Killanure NS were crowned champions.
