Irish stars to descend on Dublin for IFTA Awards on Friday

Irish screen stars will head to Dublin this weekend for the Irish Academy Awards, hosted by Kevin McGahern, on Friday.
The IFTA Awards Ceremony is set to see a home gathering of Irish actors and filmmakers to celebrate the success of Irish creative talent and to recognise achievements both in front and behind the camera.
Irish screen stars confirmed to attend include Oscar-nominated Jessie Buckley, who has been nominated for her award-winning performance in Hamnet, as well as Cillian Murphy for Steve.
Also set to attend the awards are Steve Coogan of Saipan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers of The Tudors, Aidan Quinn of The Walsh Sisters, and Alison Oliver of Wuthering Heights and Task).
Anthony Boyle, Danielle Galligan, Jack Gleeson, and Fionn O’Shea, all of House of Guinness, will also attend the ceremony.
Peter Claï¬ey (star of Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Niamh Algar (The Iris Aï¬air), Lola Petticrew (Trespasses), Louisa Harland (The Walsh Sisters), Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Leonard & Hungry Paul), Siobhán Cullen (Obituary), Genevieve O’Reilly (Andor), and Lisa McGee and Roisin Gallagher (How To Get To Heaven From Belfast), are also set to attend.
