Killeshin and Stradbally kick off this year’s championship

CHAMPIONSHIP football has a habit of sweeping away everything that came before it. League tables, challenge matches and form guides all become little more than footnotes once the ball is thrown in.

Tonight in Ratheniska, Killeshin and Stradbally begin their 2026 Laois Senior Football Championship campaigns knowing that one good performance can transform a season, while one poor showing can leave a team fighting an uphill battle from the outset.
