Borris/Kilcotton 1-8
THE Harps have made it two from two with another impressive win against Borris/Kilcotton in Durrow on Sunday afternoon.
The damage was done between the 13th and 19th minute as The Harps found a purple patch and hit five points in a row which Borris/Kilcotton never recovered from.
Liam Kirby was impressive for The Harps landing 1-7 as his side have booked a semi-final place with a game next against Clough-Ballacolla to determine who tops group B.
The home side got off to a fast start hitting three points in a row through Kirby who landed two while Jimmy Whyte also got on the scoresheet.
Borris/Kilcotton eventually got off the mark in the tenth minute and got two points in response with Jer Quinlan and Daire Fogarty adding his first.
The Harps then stepped on the gas and hit the next five points through Kirby (2), and Lochlan Curran, Eoghan Murphy and Eoin Delaney giving their side a six points cushion.
Fogarty responded for his side again, but it was to get worse for Borris/Kilcotton just before half time as Kirby found the net to give his side a 1-8 to 0-3 lead at the break.
Delaney and Curran put the home side further ahead after the break and it was a long way back now for Borris/Kilcotton.
They did hit two in a row again and battled hard throughout with the points coming from Jer Quinlan and Conor Kirby.
Delaney responded with a fine point and the away side grabbed a lifeline as Quinlan added another point and then Eoin Coss got his goal of the game to reduce the gap to five.
They now had the momentum but failed to use it as the victors hit three in a row with Kirby getting another free while Eoghan Murphy landed two huge points.
Both teams traded scores just before full time with Fogarty adding another from a free with Liam Kirby capping off a fine individual and collective display as The Harps ran out deserving winners.
