Laois death notice: Ken Stanley, Portlaoise

Ken Stanley, Meelick, Portlaoise, Laois died peacefully at home on 19 September, surrounded by his loving family, after bravely living with cancer for seven years.

Devoted husband and best friend of Barbara for 53 wonderful years, beloved and loving father of Graham, Suzanne and Gareth, cherished father-in-law of Zita, Nigel and Josie, and proud Grandpa to Josh, Sam, Noah, Freya, Aaron, Harry and Katelyn.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, neighbours, friends and his faithful dog, Baxter.

A man of quiet faith, gentle strength and great integrity.

Reposing at his home (R32 W7VX) on Monday, 21 September from 5pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm.

Funeral arriving to Portlaoise Methodist Church (R32 CTY4) on Tuesday for Service of Thanksgiving at 11am, followed by interment in the Friends Burial Ground, Rosenallis, Laois.
