Seamus McDonald, RIP

Seamus McDonald, Donore, Bagenalstown, Co Carlow and formerly of Cashel, Ballyroan, Co Laois, passed away peacefully on 26 August at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Sheila and his brother Matt.

Seamus will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by his beloved wife Betty, his children Ken, Elaine, Louise and Brian, his adored grandchildren Henry, Tara, Rory, Gabriel and Sarina, brothers John, Tom (Todd), Des and sister Marie, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, sons-in-law Patrick and Jeff, daughters-in-law Helena and Cass, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

May Seamus rest in peace.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Friday, 28 August from 4pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass will be held at St Laserian’s Church, Ballinkillen on Saturday at 11am. Funeral Mass will be followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society or the Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team.

Seamus’s family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses in the hospitals in both Dublin and Kilkenny and the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team for all their help and support during Seamus’s illness.
