LAOIS GAA has paid a heartfelt tribute to one of the county’s finest footballers with the official opening of the Bobby Miller Room at the LOETB Centre of Excellence on Saturday, 2 August.
The dedication serves as a fitting tribute to Bobby Miller, whose contribution to Laois GAA as both a player and mentor left a lasting mark on the organisation and the wider community.

A proud Timahoe clubman, Bobby represented both his club and county with distinction and was widely admired for his passion, commitment and talent on the football field. Tragically, he passed away suddenly at the age of 55 while managing Arles Killeen.
The newly named room will stand as a permanent reminder of Bobby’s enduring influence on Laois GAA and the many people whose lives he touched. His legacy of dedication, community spirit and pride in Laois will continue to inspire future generations and remain closely associated with the Centre of Excellence for years to come.

Laois GAA said: “Laois GAA were incredibly proud to unveil the Bobby Miller Room at the LOETB Centre of Excellence in honour of a man whose dedication, passion and lifelong commitment to Laois GAA left an immeasurable mark on our county.
“It is especially meaningful to welcome Bobby’s family, along with so many of his friends, to share this special occasion with us. Their presence was a wonderful reminder of the respect, admiration and affection help for Bobby by ask who had the privilege of knowing him.

“The Bobby Miller room will serve as a lasting tribute to his legacy, ensuring that future generations who come through our LOETB Centre of Excellence will be reminded of the values Bobby embodies - commitment, community and an unwavering love for the blue and white.
“May his legacy continue to inspire everyone who walks through its doors.”
