When asked for clarity on the figures, Minister Donnelly’s office replied that “as of September 27th, 362 spinal surgeries have been completed this year to date”.

Stephen Donnelly said it is a measure to protect children and young people, following a rise in the number of teenagers who are vaping.

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly has previously announced plans to open 147 additional acute beds in 2024.
