A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of more than 750,000 euros worth of cannabis.

He is one of two men arrested as part of a garda operation on Tuesday in which two properties were searched.

Gardai seized a battle rifle, a semi-automatic handgun and more than 40 rounds of ammunition.
