At the Family Law Court, Judge Alec Gabbett has granted access to the man, who has no biological link to the two children, for a limited number of access visits each year

After hearing that the father was not informed, Judge Alec Gabbett told the mother, “Dad has a right to know” about medical issues concerning the boy, who is under the age of six

"With that he pounced and got me by my neck. He kept beating me into the side of the head," claimed the woman.

At the Family Law Court, the man, who has no biological link to the two children, has made an application for 10 access visits to see the two young children each year.

The husband and wife jointly own the family home, and both are refusing to move out

The man said that his partner struck him while he was in bed and also engages in name-calling.

Judge Gabbett said that in order for him to grant a protection order in the case, the therapist must confirm that he was in an intimate relationship with the woman.

At the Family Law Court in Ennis, Judge Alec Gabbett granted the Interim Barring Order to the man after the man told the judge: “I don’t feel safe, and I don’t feel safe for my kids.”

At a sitting of the Family Law Court, solicitor, Anne Walsh made the request on behalf of the mother of the boy going into junior infants this week.

The man gave a sworn undertaking to stay away from his former girlfriend

The allegations were made as part of the wife's safety order application

In a separate Protection Order case, a woman told Judge Gabbett that her ex-partner "is drinking and driving with my children”.

Judge Gabbett said that he understood the parents' predicament and told the boy’s mother in court “you are at your wit’s end”
