According to Drinkaware, over a third of people would like to drink less alcohol.

The percentage of adults who drink to make social gatherings more fun has increased from 34 per cent in 2023 to 42 per cent in 2024, according to Drinkaware's 2024 Barometer Report.

32 per cent of adults who currently drink now report that drinking alone at home is their most common drinking occasion (at least once a week).

 An estimated 79 people have died on Irish roads so far this year, an increase of 16.5 per cent compared to this time last year.
