Speaking to the Kildare Nationalist, Kildare South TD Seán Ó Fearghaíl said the Department of Defence had secured a court order approximately two weeks ago to remove encampments from the Curragh.

The pensioner was involved in a collision in Curragh Road, Kildare town, on Wednesday.

The court heard the injunction notices were either handed to the occupants or pinned by bailiffs to the caravan doors and included a "plain English" version of them ordered by the court.

The property is on the market with an asking price of €850,000
