The man, aged in his 80s, was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment has since died.

The R139 at Belcamp was closed for a time and a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators was conducted.

The incident happened on Wednesday March 20th, when a van collided with a female pedestrian at the junction of Cambridge Road and Thorncastle Street.

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken to Cork University Hospital after a collision with a car in Upper Cork Hill, Youghal on Thursday February 1st.
