The rural village has been plunged into sadness following the sudden death of the popular mother and grandmother who lived just yards from where the tragedy occurred at Church Street off St Johnston's main street at 2pm

The death of a woman in her 80s in an incident in the village of St Johnston on Friday afternoon is the latest tragedy on the county's roads in the past week.

It follows a number of alleged arson attacks on buildings in the east Donegal village of St Johnston on Wednesday evening.
