Organisers have said that the gatherings are an opportunity for people to show their support for thousands of people who took part in protests on the M8 last week.

The man, aged in his 70s, was riding a motorcycle which was in collision with a van on Sunday morning.

The man's body has been removed to Tipperary University Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
