The three were unanimously convicted by a Central Criminal Court jury on a number of charges from sexual assault to rape following a trial that ran for six weeks.

Counsel for Dion Genockey (26) argued that the trial judge should have advised the jury that the appellant may have had reasons for not mentioning to gardaí that he believed the victim had given her consent.

Anthony Hickey (39), Fabio Vicente (42), and Matin Zolfaghari (34) were convicted last month following a trial at the Central Criminal Court.
