Eamonn Hoey, of Upper Baggot Street, Dublin, is seeking an order quashing ACP’s October 7th decision to grant permission for the development, which is proposed to contain a methadone clinic and drug treatment facility.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic and technical exam, and a post mortem examination is due to take place.

Ms Bacik emphasised the need for a more inclusive and welcoming society, and highlighted the contributions that immigrants and refugees have made to Ireland, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Along with the 100-bedroom hotel, the scheme will also include a café and bar at ground floor level.
