The man (42) was convicted of two counts of rape and three of sexual assault following a trial at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Limerick earlier this year.

The Central Criminal Court heard that the man was in a relationship with the mother of the children and was the biological father of the younger two children.

Imposing sentence, Judge Orla Crowe noted that the victim was “not a patient per se” of Yunos's, rather her parents had asked him for help.
