ONE of the largest solar energy farms in Ireland is being planned for Laois. A subsidiary of a global Danish-owned energy company – Ørsted Onshore Ireland Midco Ltd – is planning to develop a solar farm across a stretch of land measuring 4.

Annie Connolly of Upper Rossmore and formerly of Clogrennane, Bilboa passed away peacefully on Friday 27 December at her home. She will be sadly missed by her loving cousins, relatives, good neighbours, carers and friends.
