Niall Keyes, 27, with an address at Capel Street, Dublin 1, appeared before Judge Valerie Corcoran at Dublin District Court on Thursday.

His allegation of discrimination was founded on the basis that three security personnel had been involved in the Jervis Street incident.

The court heard Mark McAnulty, 42, Rossmara Park, Newry, Co Down, remained aggressive while in custody and urinated on the cell door, which needed to be cleaned.
