Owen Cooper won best supporting actor at the awards ceremony for his performance in the hard-hitting drama.

The teenager was named best supporting actor in a TV series.

“This is not a normal feeling or situation to be in,” she said as she collected the award.

The ceremony, hosted this year by Chelsea Handler, honours the year’s best in film, streaming and television.

Stars of the show Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty are longlisted in the drama performance category.
