A GARDA appeal has been launched for a 14-year-old girl who is reported missing from Portlaoise. Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Aliyah Smyth Donnelly, who was reported missing since Friday 22 August.

A COMBINATION of music, community spirit and heartfelt solidarity filled the Anvil Inn in Portarlington as hundreds turned out for a family-friendly music fundraiser Gig for Gaza in aid of the Palestine Aid Mobile Maternity Unit initiative.

The annual reunion of Brigidine Convents past pupils will take place on Sunday 27 April in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise. The event will get underway at 12. 45pm for the Past Pupils of Tullow, Abbeyleix, Mountrath and Goresbridge.
