RETIRED prison officer, former editor of the Laois People magazine and avid writer Mick Morrissey recently won the Darby Ryan International Poetry and Song of Peace contest with his poem titled Homeless.

A BOOK of short stories and poetry by local man Mick Morrissey was launched in Mountmellick Library recently by creative writing tutor Ryan Dunne.
