Lawyers for defendant Sarah Jane Byrne had previously suggested that any custodial sentence should be "as short as possible".

Jamie Moss, Meadowview, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, appeared before the three-judge, non-jury Special Criminal Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to two offences.

Ms Justice Karen O'Connor set the sentencing hearing for October 20th this year and ordered a probation report.
