Coimisiún Pleanála has finally granted permission for the long-gestating, long-contentious solar farm in the townlands area of northern Co Laois; in the environs of Morette, Killone, Cappakeel, Rossmore and Raheenahown.

An Coimisiún Pleanála rejected the joint application by developers, Kelland Homes and Durkan Estates, to construct 655 new housing units on a 18.3-hectare site between Saggart and Citywest.
