Residents and businesses in the 90-street pilot area in Dublin's inner city will now be permanently banned from leaving rubbish bags on the pavement for collection

The new branded bin surrounds were made to be easily identifiable to the general public.

Irish Rail said bins in train stations may contain broken glass, dirty nappies and rotten food.

Households and businesses are still putting the majority of their waste in the wrong bin, the EPA said
