THE death has taken place in London of Rathdowney native John 'John Joe' Phelan. John’s earthly journey sadly ended on 17 February in Kingston Hospital following two long months of hospital treatment.

The US actor was also known for his portrayal of Jim Morrison in 1991 film The Doors.

MICHAEL John Cummins, Cricklewood, London and formerly of Castlemarket, Attanagh, Portlaoise and Lowhill, Attanagh, Kilkenny died peacefully in his adopted city on 17 November.
