Man (20s) suffers serious injuries and another man arrested following incident in Dublin
A man has suffered serious injuries following an incident in Clondalkin, Co Dublin, on Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 6:15 am, local gardaí, the Armed Support Unit, and Emergency Services personnel responded to reports of a violent disturbance involving two armed men at St Cuthbert’s Court, Clondalkin.
Upon arrival, gardaí discovered a man in his 20s with serious injuries.
The injured man was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A second man, also in his 20s, was arrested at the scene. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in west Dublin.
A hatchet and knife were recovered from the scene which has since been technically examined.
