Man (30s) arrested after seizure of shotgun shells and drugs

A man has been arrested following the seizure of shotgun shells and drugs in Co Dublin on Thursday.

Gardaí conducted a search of a residential property in Swords, and recovered 50 shotgun shells, as well as a quantity of cannabis herb, drug paraphernalia and weighing scales.

The man in his 30s was arrested on Friday under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Dublin region.

The search and arrest formed part of ongoing investigations by Crime East, DMR North, and members of the Drugs Unit at Coolock Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
