A man in his 50s has been seriously injured in an assault in Fairview Park, Dublin 3, on Wednesday, October 22nd.

The assault occurred near Annesley Bridge after 6pm, where gardaí and emergency services responded.

The man was brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Anyone who was in the area between 5.30pm and 6.30pm and may have video footage, including dash cam, has been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.
