A man is set to appear in court in Dublin after an extradition request following the murder of Robbie Lawlor in Belfast six years ago.
Lawlor was shot in Etna Drive in the Ardoyne at around 11.50am on Saturday April 4th, 2020.
He had previously been linked with the murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods in Co Louth in January 2020.
An Garda Síochána and the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have been jointly investigating the murder.
In a statement on Thursday evening, gardaí said a man in his 40s had been arrested in Dublin following a warrant to extradite him to Northern Ireland to be charged in connection with the investigation.
They said he is set to appear before the court in Dublin on Friday.
“The male is currently detained at a Garda station in the Dublin region and will appear before the High Court at the Four Courts, Dublin 7, on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at 10.30am,” they said.
