The Heath will play host to their third ever St Patricks' day parade this 17th of March, following on from its 2024 debut. The parade committee are encouraging all local bands, businesses and community groups that would like to take part to reach out.
The parade will march at 8.45am from The Heath GAA Club and proceed to the church in time for 9.30am mass.

The Portarlington Parade will set out from the Portarlington Town Centre at 10:00 AM on March 17th, and will feature live Irish music and dance, floats and various club performances.
Mountmellick will see its parade commence at 14:00 on the 17th and will feature much traditional Irish music.
The GAA field at Mountrath will be the gathering point for the Mountrath Parade which will set out from 10:00 AM. Attendees are invited to join the organisers in the square for Irish dancing, live-music and face painting.
The celebrations will kick off at 11:00 AM on March 17th. There will be marching bands, sports clubs, vibrants floats and various schools all coming together for the march.

Portlaoise will see one of the largest parades and gatherings in the county, with festivities commencing at 12:20. Pre-Parade activities include a number of races for both children and adults, with live entertainment including bouncy castles, carnival rides, and market stalls.
The parade from Clonalslee will start in Clonalslee Village and will feature several competitions that participants can take part in including; best costume, most creative floats, best vintage, best dressed dog, best club representation, and several others.
The Roseanalis village parade will start at 14:00 and will feature traditional Irish music and participants will be provided with refreshments; fresh tea, coffee and cake following the parade in the community centre.
The Timahoe St Patricks' Day Parade will set out from the community centre carpark at 10:00 AM and will aim to arrive at St Michaels' Church at 10:30 AM.
The Stradbally Parade will set off from the top of Rathmore Road at 11:00 AM and will lead to St Patricks' day Mass in the Sacred Heart Church at 11:30 AM. The celebrations will include a St Patricks' Day Parade Prize Draw which will include a €400 cash prize, 2 season tickets for all CK United Home Games, and a family weekend pass for Steam Rally.
The Vicarstown Parade will march at 9:00 AM from the bridge and will be followed by a Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of the Assumption in Vicarstown.
