Blind leading the blind in Laois

IT was a case of the blind leading the blind when gardaí stopped a van in Laois.
When the driver was pulled in for using a mobile phone, it emerged that the individual had never held a driving licence.
Meanwhile, the front seat passenger who owned the van was disqualified from driving and allowed the unlicensed motorist to get behind the wheel.
In a social media post titled ‘The Blind Leading the Blind’, Laois gardaí said this weekend: ‘One shouldn't have been behind the wheel. The other shouldn't have been handing over the keys. Together, they can’t see the problem.’
The Ford Transit van was seized on the M7 motorway by the Laois Roads Policing Unit (RPU) and was towed away.
Both individuals are facing court proceedings for traffic offences.
