Charity fundraising cycle for homeless this weekend in Laois

PORTLAOISE Action to Homelessness (PATH) has organised a fundraising charity cycle to assist in its on-going efforts to help those who find themselves in homeless situations.
The charity cycle takes place on Saturday 26 July from the Portlaoise Plaza at Togher, Junction 17.
Check-in begins at 8am, with the 100km cycle starting at 9.15am and the 53km cycle at 9.30am with an entry fee of €30 for either event. Registration is via Cycle Ireland. Non Cycle Irelan members require to purchase insurance. Cycling helmets must be worn at all times.
The cycle is supported by Newbridge Cycle Club, Post 27 Irish UN Vets Association and by Portlaoise Plaza Junction 17.
All those taking part will be supplied on the day with a t-shirt and a gift bag valued at €30.
There will be food stops and refreshments provided and support vehicles will also be along both routes.
