Choir celebrating its 10th anniversary raise funds for two Laois charities

Representatives from the Irish Guide Dogs and Laois Hospice accept a cheque from members of the Cody Choir who raised the funds when they held a special concert to celebrate their tenth anniversary.
MEMBERS of the Cosy Choir presented a total of €2,500 to Laois Hospice and Irish Guide Dogs as part of their 10-year celebration concert in Mountrath in June.
Large numbers came out to support the choir in song, spirit and generosity for the special concert that raised funds for the two causes.
The concert was a milestone for the choir, marking a decade of music, friendship, and community involvement.
The choir is known for its performances that have benefited various charities.
As a result of their efforts and all those who supported them members of the choir presented cheques to the two charities for the €2,500 raised on Tuesday, 15 July.
Looking back at the success of the night of the concert the members said it was made possible “by the attendees and the unwavering support of our amazing sponsors. Without them, none of this would have been possible.”
The cheque presentation night was celebrated with Sean, his guide dog Elf and a representative from the Irish Guide Dogs, alongside Mary and Irene from Laois Hospice. All of who spoke proudly about being chosen as the recipients of the funds.
As the evening drew to a close, a touching video tribute captured the spirit of the concert and celebrated the lives touched by both charities. The sense of community in the room was unmistakable — a shared belief in supporting those who need it most.
