CJ Sheeran Group to boost its workforce with bespoke new facility

LAOIS-based pallet manufacturer and recycler CJ Sheeran Group is set to open a new €6 million logistics and storage facility at its headquarters in Mountrath, Co Laois this Wednesday, 19 August.
One of the largest pallet manufacturers in Ireland, and one of the Midlands’ largest employers, CJ Sheeran Group’s new 50,000 square foot facility can store 150,000 pallets, and will create 15 new jobs, growing its total direct workforce to 465.
The Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with special responsibility for Forestry, Farm Safety and Horticulture, Niall Collins TD, will attend the official opening, alongside guests.
The new €6 million facility promises to form part of a wider programme of investment across the Group. Further recent investments at its Mountrath site include a new automated pallet production line, producing more than 10,000 pallets per week; a new 1.75MW biomass boiler; and two new high-capacity kilns with a further two kilns planned. Each kiln can dry more than 10,000 pallets per week.
Operating from 14 strategically located facilities across Ireland and the UK, the CJ Sheeran Group’s customers include Ireland’s leading companies across the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing, construction, retail and logistics sectors.
Its headquarters in Mountrath, Co Laois sits at the heart of Ireland’s national motorway network, providing immediate access to the M6, M7, M8 and M9, allowing for direct reach to customers across the island.
