Clonaslee College Junior Cycle students celebrated with their current TY, 5th and LCA colleagues as they received their eagerly awaited Junior Cycle results. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and pride as their principal, Suzanne McMahon, addressed the students. In her speech, she reminded them of the value of their hard work and perseverance, congratulating each student on their outstanding achievements before presenting them with their results. Ms. McMahon also took a moment to praise the dedicated staff and supportive parents, highlighting how the collaborative efforts of the entire school community played a key role in helping the students succeed.
Some of our students were unable to be present for the celebrations, as they embarked on an exciting adventure as part of Clonaslee College’s first-ever French exchange trip supported by PPLI (Post Primary languages Ireland) to Vichy, France. Even in the skies, their success didn’t go unnoticed, with Aer Lingus staff offering their congratulations to our high-flying achievers during their journey!
"We are especially proud of our EAL (English as an Additional Language) students. Despite joining a new school community and adapting to a different language and culture, these students worked diligently alongside their peers to sit the same exams. Their commitment and determination to succeed have been truly commendable, and their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work, said Ms McMahon.
She added: "Clonaslee College is incredibly proud of all our students' efforts and achievements and eagerly looks forward to watching them flourish in their future endeavours. Well done to all".
