THE 2026 edition of the Fisherstown Tractor and Truck Run was launched on Monday 4 May in Ballybrittas
The annual run, which sees volunteers raise funds for cancer charities has raised over €300,000 for various local causes since its foundation in 2008.

This year, the committee has confirmed that all proceeds will go to Laois Hospice Foundation, which has offered palliative care services throughout the county since 1989.
In a statement, Laois Hospice Foundation said the organisation is delighted to be the beneficiary of the proceeds of this "fantastic day".
The statement concludes by noting that the funding will enable the hospice to continue funding much needed compassionate home care services across the county.
The Tractor and Truck Run committee said in a statement that this year's event promises to be a "great day out" that also supports an essential local service. "The event is much more than just tractors and trucks; it's about community coming together and giving back”, the statement reads.
The run is open to all ages, with children’s entertainment available throughout the day, followed by live music in the evening. The run will commence at 2pm, Sunday 4 July. It will be followed by an auction and raffle.
