The late Carmel Scannell
Carmel Scannell (née Dunne), Newpark, Portlaoise passed away peacefully in the excellent care of Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise surrounded by her loving family on Monday 18 November.
Carmel was the daughter of the late Molly and Martin Dunne, beloved wife of the late Sean, dearly loved mother to Donal and John and cherished grandmother to Sean.
Deeply regretted by her loving daughters-in-law, Joanne and Ursula. Her very close friend Ettie Fitzpatrick and former colleagues in Saint Fintan’s Hospital, Portlaoise. Sisters Teasie Thompson, Lily Irvine (Gloucester) and Mary Nolan (Portlaoise). Brothers-in-law Andy and Michael and sister-in-law Bernadette, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Tuesday evening 19 November from 6.30pm until Rosary at 8 pm.
Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise on Wednesday 20 November for 2 pm Requiem Mass.
Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.
