A DRIVER who hogged a disabled parking space in Laois had a sign declaring 'I HATE PEOPLE' displayed on the rear window.

The culprit was enjoying an ice cream just a few feet away when gardaí stopped at the scene in Durrow.

The car was parked in a disabled bay outside the busy Daybreak store and post office in the town centre.

Posting photos on social media this morning, Laois-Offaly gardaí commented: ‘99 Problems and No Permit is 1.’

They said: ‘This car was found parked in a disabled bay in Durrow. No permit, No excuse, just a bold sticker declaring ‘I HATE PEOPLE’ on the rear window.

‘The driver? Located a few feet away … enjoying an ice cream.’

The force added: 'We’d suggest next time: Park legally. Show some consideration. Maybe rethink the window decals. Because nothing says “I hate people” quite like taking the space of someone who actually needs it.’
