Early indications from the tallymen in the Nano Nagle Hall at the CBS/Scoil Chríost Rí in Portlaoise puts outgoing TDs Brian Stanley and Sean Fleming in top spot along with first time general election candidate Willie Aird.
Counting of votes from the 114 ballot boxes containing 65,873 votes cast from around the county is continuing.
