Election candidate asks people in Laois to lend her their vote

The Sinn Fein election candidate Maria McCormack is asking the people of Laois to lend her their votes on polling day
AS the general election campaigning draws to a close in Laois one candidate is making a final bid to get voters on her side.
Maria McCormack from Sinn Féin said if elected that there will be a new beginning for Laois as she will be “the champion for carers and disabilities.”
In her final statement to the press before people go to the polling booths tomorrow Friday 29 November she said: “Mary Lou McDonald visited Laois twice during this election campaign because she now has a special relationship with Laois Sinn Fein.”
She said that the Sinn Féin leader has built up a special bond with her and with the people of Laois.
“Laois will become a priority in a Sinn Fein led government,” she said, if in return, the people give her their number one vote on polling day.
She said should be elected she would “work tirelessly alongside Mary Lou for parents, carers, teachers, nurses, fire fighters and all the hard-working families in Laois.”
“In this election Sinn Féin campaigned for the people to vote for a new beginning by electing a new government for a new Ireland. A Sinn Fein led government will end the 100 years of government by either Fianna Fail or Fine Gael. In its first 100 days in office the Sinn Féin led government will implement its plans and deliver a mini budget.
“It will build 300,000 homes between 2025 and 2030. It will introduce major reforms to improve the health service by moving towards a universal health care system; expand local health services; improve hospital care, youth mental care, and disability services. It will deliver €10 a day childcare. It will tackle head-on the out-of-control prices fuelling the cost-of-living crisis. It will abolish the USC, the Carers Allowance Means Test, and the property tax. It will create a new style of government which puts workers, their families and community first. It will promote Irish unity across the world.”
Before casting your vote tomorrow Ms McCormack said: “Lend Sinn Fein your vote. Allow Sinn Fein to prove themselves. Judge Sinn Fein on what it delivers in Government. It is time for a new beginning. It is time for a Sinn Fein government. Vote Sinn Féin this Friday.”
