ICA members in Laois gathered for their winter meeting

THE annual Winter Laois ICA Federation meeting was hosted by the home guild of the County Federation President Deirdre Dunne in Mountmellick.
During the course of the meeting a cheque presentation of €1,500 was made to both Mary Delaney from Laois Hospice and to Liam McEvoy from the Cuisle Centre.
The funds were raised by ICA members from the various guilds around Laois who took part in the annual sponsored Cuisle fundraising walk The presentation of the Laois ICA Federation Cup was also made to the winning guild - Arles - for the best handmade Christmas card, best Yule log cake and best handmade Christmas stocking.
President of the Arles ICA Guild Vivienne Rigley accepted the cup on behalf of her members.
Members from the seven guilds from around the county took part in the competitions.
Castletown Guild members was placed second while the members of the Portlaoise Guild came in third place.
