Speaking at the ceremony, Gala Retail chief executive Gary Desmond congratulated the winning stores and said the awards were “a true testament to their dedication and commitment” to their communities.

He said: “As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, it’s an especially poignant moment to recognise the outstanding efforts of our Gala stores across Laois, who have gone above and beyond in delivering quality and service to their customers.” Gala Retail has grown into a network of over 200 convenience stores across Ireland over the past quarter-century.
