Laois Gardaí graduate in large ceremony

LAOIS Gardaí had cause to celebrate following Friday’s graduation ceremony at the Garda College in Templemore.
142 men and 64 women were attested in what was one of the largest graduating classes in recent years.
Garda Caleb Macken from Portlaoise was one of the 206 new Garda members who graduated, while fellow graduate Garda Gerard Donlan, also from Portlaoise, will be stationed in Kilkenny.
Garda Darragh Cremins, whose girlfriend is from Laois, celebrated with the Cremins and Culbert families following his graduation. He will be stationed in Killarney.
Garda Lisa Maher from Ennis, who also graduated on Friday, will be stationed in Portlaoise.
